UNIT 7  SPANISH  LANDSCAPE
First of all, let´s remember the name of some landforms:

If you want to see some real pictures of some of these landforms, click on this website:

NOTA DE LA AUTORA: antes de empezar con los nombres del relieve, decir que no estoy de acuerdo con ninguna de las nomenclaturas que aparecen en los libros de cono de primaria. Se empeñan en traducir las cordilleras, sistemas, rios, provincias y todo lo demás y cada vez es peor; no hay dos libros iguales y encima se inventan unas cosas... En fin, vayamos a lo nuestro.

In this unit we will learn the name of the most important features of the Spanish landscape.
We can see all of them in this map:

This map is copied from this blog:

INNER  PLATEAU  AND  THE  MOUNTAINS  CROSSING  IT
The Inner Plateou (yellow) is an extensive area of high land which covers the centre of the Iberian Peninsula. Two groups of mountains cross the plateau:
  • the Central Mountain Chain
  • the Mountains of Toledo
This map and the following ones are copied from this blog:

MOUNTAINS  SURROUNDING  THE  PLATEAU
There are four groups of mountains surrounding the plateau:
  • the Mountains of León
  • the Cantabrian Chain
  • the Iberian Mountain Chain
  • the Sierra Morena

MOUNTAINS  BEYOND  THE  PLATEAU
Five groups of mountains lie beyond the plateau:
  • the Galician Massif
  • the Basque Mountains
  • the Pyrenees
  • the Catalan Coastal Chain
  • the Baetic Mountain Chain

As a result of all these maps we can see again all the relief of the Peninsula:
